Blackrain, the french glam band!

I don't know who they are or what they sound like, just thought you guys might be interested.

Listenable Records has announced the signing of the French glam hard rock band BLACKRAIN. The group entered the studio in August to begin recording the follow-up to 2008's "License to Thrill" for a March 2010 release. The CD is being helmed by acclaimed producer Beau Hill, who has previously worked with RATT, WARRANT and TED NUGENT, among others. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Heart Screams", "Dead Boy", "My Young Star" and "Overloaded".

"We are extremely happy to inked a deal with Listenable Records and we've got a really great album on the way so naturally we hope this will be a great progression in our career," says BLACKRAIN singer Swan Hellion.

The band has spent all of 2008 and 2009 writing material for the new album and touring.

"License to Thrill" was released in France in November 2008. Two videos from the CD — "Rock your City" and "Innocent Rosie" — were released and got an "amazing resposne," according to a press release.

big fan of these guys. They deserve it.

Swan will be singing a bit deeper on the newer stuff im told. So for those that couldnt deal with his Mark Slaughter-esque highness fear no more.

I however think they rock! They contributed writing to some of crashdiets new songs also.

No Time To Cry. Swan sings alot deeper on it, not as deep as Sisters obviously.

Its a cool cover, they add there own sound to it, whilst keeping the darkness of the original.

I dig these guys.. Some of the vocals remind me of Steelheart.

Looking forward to hearing the new stuff.

apparently the band recorded it at the time cause they could relate to it.

They were bumped out after finishing a tour, taking too many drugs etc

I love License To Thrill, though I thought the songs could have done with being a bit more catchy and with more structure to them.

A great album nonetheless, and a great band - better live than in the studio. Can't wait for the new album though.
