Guy Speranza, 47, the original singer of Riot, died on November 8 from pancreatic cancer. Speranza performed on the band's first three studio records, 1977's Rock City, 1979's Narita and 1981's Fire Down Under. Speranza's replacement, Rhett Forrester, was murdered in Atlanta in 1994. After leaving behind his career in music, Speranza worked as an exterminator in Florida. He was diagnosed with cancer last spring.
