Joe Perry Says Steven Tyler's In As 'American Idol' Judge August 27, 2010 USAToday.com reports: Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry says Steven Tyler's gig as an American Idol judge is a done deal. "He told me just a couple of days ago he signed his papers to join the show," Perry recently told the Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Clark. "As far as he knew, everything's set to go." That jibes with what bassist Tom Hamilton told the Newark Star-Ledger a few days earlier: "Steven is doing American Idol. The ink is dry on that."
