VALERIE BERTINELLI LOVES EDDIE VAN HALEN 'LIKE A BROTHER' November 21, 2009 Some couples stay together for the sake of the kids. Valerie Bertinelli says she and Eddie Van Halen split for the sake of their son. Bertinelli tells Health magazine as their son Wolfgang got older, "this was going to be his version of how two married people in love treated one another." She describes their marriage as "very broken" and they did not treat each other kindly. She calls Van Halen "a really special man" and she'll always love him.
