Daniel MacMaster 1968 - 2008

It is with deep sadness that we regret the unexpected passing of Daniel Stewart Mac Master, age 39, on Sunday, March 16th, 2008 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Daniel went to Barrie North Collegiate and then traveled abroad as a singer, songwriter with Bonham. Dan found his calling for Truck Driving. Devoted father, avid fisherman, camper, artist, singer /songwriter and Toronto Maple Leafs fan, he will be forever missed.

Survived by Tina McCallum, wife; children, Kaleb and Aryanna Mac Master; mother, Lori (Russ) Tuck, brothers Jody, Cory (Brenda) Mac Master; father, John Mac Master, step-father Eddie Mrazek; in-laws Robert & Jenny McCallum; brothers- in- law, Adam (Leslie) & Dana (Shannon) McCallum.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 1:30pm in the Blake Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Gordon Holroyd officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the George Geoffrey's Treatment Centre or Shelter House would be greatly appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Daniel Mac Master in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 28, 2009.

It is with deep sadness that we bring you the terrible news of the passing of Daniel Stewart MacMaster.

Daniel was pronounced dead last night as he lost his battle with complications from Pneumonia. Daniel suffered from Streptococcus Group A Infection that entered his blood stream. Usually people just get the non fatal Streptococcus Throat with this bug but it attacked Daniel at his weakest and his organs started to shut down. The doctors tried everything while Daniel was in hospital, but unfortunately it was too late.

We are all still in a state of shock. Daniel would have turned 40 on July 11th this year.

From personal experience, with all Daniel's Success, Fame and Talent in his short life, he was one of the most humble and easiest going guys I've met while working for Suncity Records.

Daniel's loss will be felt by the thousands of fans that he has entertained over the years with his extraordinary musical talent and he's much loved voice.

Our condolences go out to Daniel's close friends and his family, especially his 2 little kids and his loving wife Tina.
