BRET MICHAELS' GUITAR RESURFACES: November 27, 2004 PORTAGE, Ind. (AP) -- A custom-made guitar owned by former Poison lead singer Bret Michaels resurfaced a week after it was stolen during an Indiana concert. The guitar, worth about $3,000 US, was returned to staff at WLUP 97.9 FM in Chicago late last week, the Post-Tribune of Merrillville reported Tuesday. The red-and-white Holden six-string electric guitar with a picture of a skull wearing a top hat was taken Nov. 12 after a concert at a bar in South Haven. Someone anonymously delivered the guitar to a Chicago nightclub where the radio station was to host a promotional event last Thursday, according to WLUP's website. The guitar was taken to the station's studios, where managers were arranging its return to Michaels. After the Indiana concert, a photo of Michaels with the guitar was posted on the 41-year-old singer's website with the message: "We are asking anyone and everyone who may know where it is to please return it to us. This guitar has a lot of sentimental value to Bret and we just want to get it back." Courtesy of Canoe |
