TODD KERNS AMONG CANDIDATES FOR SINGER SLOT IN EX-GNR PROJECT:

A Vancouver, Canada-based vocalist by the name of Todd Kerns (THE AGE OF ELECTRIC, STATIC IN STEREO) has reportedly been auditioning for the vacant singer slot in the new band formed by ex-GUNS N' ROSES members Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum.

Kerns, who possesses a voice that has been described as a mixture of "Sebastian Bach and Ian Astbury with a little Axl Rose," is said to have laid down his vocals to three instrumental tracks so far and is presently awaiting further word from the ex-GNR camp, who have been "pretty much trying out every singer who ever walked," according to one of the frontrunner candidates, the aforementioned Bach (formerly of SKID ROW).

For more information on Kerns, who is currently working on a solo CD, visit his official web site at toddkerns.com.
