FUNNY MONEY RECRUIT FORMER KIX DRUMMER:

Hello Again and Happy Holidays!

Lots of interesting news with Funny Money going on this month. The new album "Skin to Skin" is still selling well and has been getting very good reviews in the US, Europe and Japan. We have struggled occasionally just to keep CD's in stock at both the online retailers and in brick and mortar stores throughout the US. Sometimes we just were not able to ship CD stock fast enough!

As you may have seen on our web site, or at a recent show, Rob Galpin, the co-author of five of the songs on "Skin" with Steve and Mark has joined the band to replace Louis Coppola. Rob has been woodshedding to pick up more songs for the Funny Money live show song rotation. Rob is doing a great job and fan response has been very positive.

On a sad note Sam Stillwell, our current drummer, will be leaving the band at the end of December. Sam has a brand new baby and will be able to spend some good daddy time with Sammy Jr. in the new year. We'll all miss Sam and his sense of humor - not to mention his fine playing.

However there is a silver lining to every dark cloud. Sam's replacement will be the one and only Jimmy Chalfant, former KIX drummer! Yes that's right! Steve asked Jimmy to join and he accepted! Steve and Jimmy back together onstage, every weekend! Sounds great doesn't it? We're taking the first three weeks of January off to work Jimmy in with some rehearsals at Steve's house. It shouldn't be too hard, he already knows at least half the songs, right? You'll be pleased to know that we're adding a lot more songs from the new CD to the live show when Jimmy comes on board. Jimmy took a short trip down to Mark's house last week and recorded a couple of new songs with he and Rob while working on his live drum setup and getting all the electronics squared up for the live show. Expect to hear some things in the live show you have not heard since the KIX days! Jimmy's first gig with Funny Money will be at The Zu in Dundalk, MD on January 24th. Come out and show Jimmy some love!

New T-Shirts with the popular "Skin to Skin" album cover artwork will be available this Saturday at the Rod & Gun Club show in Hagerstown, MD. Ronnie Younkins' band The Blues Vultures and local favorites Jester will be opening the show.

"Skin" is getting some airplay on local rock station 94.3 WQCM. Call their toll-free request line at 1-877-709-9430 and request your favorite song from "Skin". They've been playing the song "Skin to Skin" and are starting to put "Bad Luck" in the rotation - thanks to the many requests! You can also call 98 Rock in Baltimore to request "Bad Luck", toll-free 1-800-767-1098. Call during Mickey and Amelia on weeknights 7 pm to midnight.

We have to assume everyone knows about the 4/5 KIX reunion shows at the end of this month. If not, here's what's happening:

Steve, Ronnie, Brian and Jimmy will be getting together for three shows to play your favorite KIX tunes. Ronnie's band, The Blues Vultures will play first, Funny Money will play second, then Ronnie, Jimmy and Brian will get up on stage to play a set of KIX tunes. The first show at The Dragonfly on December 26th in Harrisburg, PA completely sold out two weeks ago. Tickets are still available for December 27th at Thunderdome in Baltimore, MD and come get your KIX FIX and ring in 2004 on New Year's Eve, December 31st at JAXX in Springfield, VA. Get your tix now before it's too late!

That's all the updates we have for now. Come and see us soon!
