Review:
Scarlet Violet is Milan, Italy's answer to the best bands that came out of the L.A. sleaze/rock/glam/metal scene of the late 80's and early 90's! If great ass kicking rock n' roll music is your cup of tea then come get your fill from this over-the-top, independently released 5 song E.P. entitled Ready To Rock. Someone needs to snap this band up and release a full length album, pronto!
  Not only are L.A. (vocals), Fedexx (bass), Fylo (guitars) and NK (drums) a damn gifted bunch of musicians (Fylo is/will be a guitarist to be reckoned with - brilliant rhythms, tasty leads, and very reminiscent of DJ Ashba), they look the part as well. Twenty years ago, which I am guessing is the average age of this band, you couldn't throw a can of 'Aqua-Net Super Hold Pink' and not brain 50 bands looking like and doing (trying to do) what Scarlet Violet are pulling off with such ease and enthusiasm. It makes one look forward to where these guys are going next and pulling for them all the way!
  Scarlet Violet are not reinventing the wheel when it comes to the music they are making, more like paying a very impressive homage to the bands that put this genre of music on the map. If you, like me, can't get enough of bands like W.A.S.P., L.A. Guns, Ratt, Poison, Guns N' Roses, Faster Pussycat, Pretty Boy Floyd, Tigertailz, Tuff, etc., then Scarlet Violet is a band that will fill the gap in your collection only recently being filled by a handful of talented, much needed and long overdue bands out of Sweden.
