History:
Rockhead were a hard rock band with pop overtones formed and named after
successful music producer/musician Bob Rock.
Guitarist Bob Rock and drummer Chris Taylor played together
in new wave bands Payola$ and Rock N'Hyde, before the later disbanded
in 1989. Rock decided to pursue a production career and worked with bands
such as Motley Crue, Cher and Metallica, but he continued to
keep in touch with Taylor and never lost his desire to write music and perform.
So Rock and Taylor recruited Vancouver, British Columbia bar
band veterans Steve Jack (vocals), Jamey Kosh (bass) and John
Webster (keyboards). The band recorded off and on before releasing their debut
album roughly three years after they had formed. The debut featured guest appearances
from members of Bon Jovi, The Cult and Little Caesar. The group
toured sporadically in support of the album before disbanding, and Rock
returning to production.
