History:
Rhino Bucket is one of best of the AC/DC clone bands. They implement a
three-chord guitar approach with filthy lyrics that would have made Bon Scott
proud. Sadly, they didn't make much of a splash in music circles, but every one of
their albums is top notch.
Rhino Bucket was formed by Georg Dolivo (vocals/guitar), Greg Fields (guitar),
Reeve Downes (bass) and Liam Jason (drums, ex-Warrior). The debut
album sounded exactly like Bon Scott era AC/DC, but Get Used To It
would be as big as the band got, with the song "Ride With Yourself" appearing on the
Wayne's World soundtrack.
Surprisingly the band was on an independent label for their third and final
album, despite former AC/DC and Dio drummer Simon Wright replacing
Jason. Shortly after its release Wright would rejoin Dio and
Rhino Bucket disbanded. Dolivo formed the short-lived bands Das Cabal
with Shotgun Messiah guitarist Harry Cody and Deep Six Holiday
with Downes, ex-Kix guitarist Brian Forsythe and former
White Sister/Tattoo Rodeo drummer Rich Wright.
In 2001 Rhino Bucket decided to reform, with Dolivo,
Forsythe, Downes and Jason (who had become a trans-gendered person
going by the name of Jackie Enx). A new album titled And Then It Got Ugly was released
in 2006 and was once again filled with of guilty pleasures, followed closely by a couple of rarities CDs.
In late 2006 Enx and the band went their separate ways which resulted in Dusty Watson taking over
on drums.
