Review:
Out Of The Cellar is the major label debut from this California quintet. I've always liked Ratt and was glad they made it big, as this album went triple platinum, reached #7 on the Billboard charts and spawned two hit singles. It even features former video vixen Tawny Kitaen (best known for her Whitesnake work) on the front cover.
From the hit singles "Round And Round" (#12) to "Wanted Man" (#87), this album rocks. Ratt wrote good songs, had catchy hooks and looked good. They helped bring rise to the early 80's "hair metal" movement, for that we fans are grateful.
I also want to note we lost guitarist Robbin Crosby last June to AIDS, it's a shame he had to die so young. The remaining members have stayed in the business in one form or another. I wanted to pay homage to Robbin and this timeless classic. Out Of The Cellar receives two thumbs up!
