High Noon
HIGH NOON
Formed 1989, U.S.A.

Albums:
2009 No Turning Back

History:
High Noon was formed in California in early 1989 by Ken Hitsman (guitar), Sam Persons (bass) and Mike Patterson (drums). Vocalist Jim Zappa was found in June '89 through an ad in a local music magazine called Music Connection.
The band quickly wrote some tunes and played their very first gig on July 31, 1989. Soon the band was playing the infamous Sunset Strip clubs like Gazzarri's, The Whiskey, The Roxy and the Troubadour. Great White keyboardist/guitarist Michael Lardie began engineering the band's second demo and later legendary producer Michael Wagener (Skid Row, Dokken, etc) was brought in to mix the songs. The demo was shopped to record companies, but failed to find a home despite the song "Have My Heart" reaching the top 10 in Belgium.
Drummer Patterson left the band in 1992 due to personal matters and was replaced by former Funhouse drummer Jaime Harris. The band continued to record, but with grunge beginning to rear its ugly head High Noon played their final show on August 15, 1993.
In 2009 the group collected all their demo recordings and released them on Eonian Records as No Turning Back.
