Foot Fetish
History:
A solo venture from Jackyl's famous chainsaw weilding frontman
Jesse James Dupree offered up more of the "in your face" southern hard rock that
made Jackyl a platinum success, but also gave Dupree the freedom to
explore genres such as rhythm & blues.
While on tour with Jackyl, Dupree played some new tunes to
his old Geffen friend Lorren Cornelius who now worked with the
independant label V2. Cornelius was so impressed that the label signed
Dupree and a band and album were put together while Jackyl was on hiatus.
The group consisted of guitarist John Hayes (a member of Mother's Finest who had also cowritten some Jackyl
songs such as "I Stand Alone"), former Brother Cane bassist Roman
Glick and studio drummer Tony Belser.
Foot Fetish was released to mixed reviews while drummer John
Skinner was brought in for the tour that consisted of opening gigs for such rock
heavyweights as Queensryche and Stone Temple Pilots. However in early
2001 Jackyl reformed (with GlickJesse James Dupree band was put on ice.
