Review:
As far as right-down-the-middle hard rockers go, these Gene Simmons proteges are a sight better than most. Jaime St. James doesn't screech, they aren't as squishy as Dokken, and their songs have more character than yer average Krokus, Keel, or Y&T number. They claim "we still offend critics." Well I'm not offended, or excited (not my bag), but basic metalites should be all over cuts like the AC/DC-ish "Get Wise To The Rise," and "Rock On," of which the latter comes off like a mix of "Rock & Roll Pt.2" and Heart's "Magic Man."
