Review:
This is the sophomore outing by Badlands. The late Ray Gillen is on vocals and former Ozzy Osbourne sidekick Jake E. Lee on guitar. This album has a very bluesy sound to it, and is closer in sound to 70's hard rock than 80's metal.
Songs like "Show Me The Way", "Whiskey Dust" and the title track "Voodoo Highway" really showcase their talent. There is also a wonderful cover version of James Taylor's "Fire And Rain". Ray Gillen was very talented, it's a shame he died so young.
All in all this is a pretty good CD. I give it two thumbs up!
